Upcoming events

January 05, 2012

YOU are invited to participate in these upcoming events to improve the long-term health of the White River watershed:

Fundraising dinner

Join us at 5 Olde Tavern and Grille in South Royalton on Monday, January 9 for a dinner and fundraising event. 5 Olde is donating to the WRP 10% of all their food sales on this evening, so the more people that have dinner & dessert the better. Bring a friend or the whole family! Join the WRP Board members around 6:30pm or come any time…this is a casual “event” (e.g. no organized speaker, meeting etc.). We hope you’ll join us to enjoy a great dinner, support a local business member, and raise some money to improve the health of the White River!

Community Recovery Partnership meetings

As part of his plan to help communities recover from Tropical Storm Irene, Governor Shumlin’s Community Recovery Partnership is talking with communities about their current needs and future plans, in order to better gauge the additional assistance necessary to move forward. A series of public meetings are taking place across the state, including two upcoming meetings in the White River watershed:

Tuesday, January 17, from 3-6pm, at the Seven Stars Center – focusing on the towns of Sharon, South Royalton, Bethel, and Randolph

Monday, January 30, from 3-6pm, at the Rochester School – focusing on the towns of Pittsfield, Stockbridge, Rochester, Hancock, and Granville

Thursday, February 9, time and location TBD – focusing on the towns of Woodstock, Bridgewater, Hartford, Barnard, and Reading
